Project Seaside - Living area & Bedroom

This project was a major renovation that was taken back to the ‘bones’. We really considered the space when planning the layout of my clients bungalow to create a flow as soon as you walked through the front door. The details really make this space come together from the coving to the panelling.

Design work

Starting with a site visit with my client to take measurements and discuss layout options. My client had a clear style in mind and had sent inspirational images across. Builders were already onsite so this was a tight turned around.

Below are 3 options of layout (working with the builder for approval of walls to be removed) so we could sign off the floor-plans for the builders and electrical sockets etc could be in the correct place.

Option 3 was signed off as this benefited from having the media wall in the corner and a snug created. We then worked offline, sending suggestions for the paint colour, the coving and flooring. We had originally discussed joinery for the media wall but due to budget I came up with the solution for the panelling and floating unit instead - zoning the space.

Design work

I sent some furniture styles back and forth and my client sourced her own sofa so we worked around that and incorporated this into the design. I created the FF&E boards with clickable links and a shopping list for the items within my clients budget, for both the living room and bedroom. I have included the panelling suggestion also which was sent to the builders to complete.
